Day 17 of NaPoWriMo and today’s prompt is to write a nocturne.
And the city dozes, as twilight hits my window,
And I rhapsodise the melodies of that dusky flow though.
The blue shadowy night, writes me a lyrical poem,
Sinks her heart into a still symphony to know him
She performs her rituals just to fade in his silence,
Accompanied by the dewy clouds, a beautiful alliance
Jolted by ever starry space she moves ahead,
Merging into the light afar, with the dawn she wed,
Don’t you want to stay?
Don’t leave yet, I pray!
But I lied there bewitched, woken to a new day,
And I lied there bewitched, yet to see time sway.
