A Jungle in ME – #NaPoWriMo Day 1

Today’s prompt challenges to write a Kay-Ryan-esque poem: short, tight lines, rhymes interwoven throughout, maybe an animal or two, and, if can manage to stuff it in, a sharp little philosophical conclusion.

Life in all
its conscious,
have you
ever lived?
Tell me
when the lion
in you, meets
my deer.
Oh dear, think
again. Maybe, Its
Your poison
that’s leaving
me Undead. With
Opening smiles
And welcoming
Arms, my world
Is unmapped,
Open it, and
You will find
The Lion in You
Is caged within
A wild Jungle.
A Jungle in ME.
